HOTEL ADDRESS

The Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza River North is located at 350 West Wolf Point Plaza, Chicago, IL 60654 within the 350 North Orleans Building, previously known as the Apparel Center. To access the hotel’s lobby, enter the revolving doors on the West side of the building and follow the silver Holiday Inn sign towards the elevator bank. Take the elevators up to the 14th floor for meetings and events and take the elevators up to the 15th floor for the hotel’s reception and check in.


Guest Parking

Self-parking is $56/night with in-and-out parking privileges in the Wolf Point Parking garage. Wolf Point Parking is located off of the hotel’s front-drive entrance and the garage clearance is 6′ 8″. Overnight parking can be paid for at the hotel’s front desk and is validated until 3:00 pm the following day. Any vehicles parked past 3:00 pm will be charged the hourly rate posted in the Wolf Point Parking garage and payable upon exiting the garage.

The Mart

Chicago Riverwalk

The Chicago Riverwalk is a downtown waterfront park space and 1.25-mile pedestrian trail along the south bank of the Chicago River, located directly across the river from the hotel. This scenic promenade contains restaurants and concessions during the summer months, benches and lookout points, boat rentals and tours, and theater-style seating for performances.

Enjoy stunning views of Chicago architecture in the Loop and River North districts on a walk beside the water’s edge. The Chicago Riverwalk runs along historic Wacker Drive from Lake Michigan west to Lake Street, with access at street level from each major intersection.

Concessions are closed for the season.

Art on theMART

During the months of April thru December, theMART transforms into Art on theMART, the newest addition to Chicago’s vibrant public art scene and the largest digital art projection in the world! Utilizing 34 projectors, Art on theMART showcases a rotation of artists' digital work across 2.5 acres of theMART's façade.

Since its launch in 2018, Art on theMART has provided a public platform for moving image work by renowned local, national and international multi-disciplinary artists providing public access to innovative contemporary artwork for the thousands of visitors traversing the Chicago Riverwalk each day.

The Fall 2020 30-minute program of projections is shown nightly at 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. and can be viewed for free from the jetty section of the Chicago Riverwalk on Wacker Drive between Wells Street and Franklin Street

Millennium Park

Discover a state-of-the-art collection of architecture, landscape design and art that provide the backdrop for hundreds of free cultural programs including concerts, exhibitions, tours, and family activities. In Millennium Park, you’ll find a new kind of town square – a lively, spectacular gathering spot located in the heart of the city and a destination for Chicagoans and visitors alike.

Here you'll see Cloud Gate, British artist Anish Kapoor's first public outdoor work, also known as The Bean. The 110-ton elliptical sculpture is forged of a seamless series of highly polished stainless steel plates, which reflect Chicago’s famous skyline and the clouds above. A 12-foot-high arch provides a "gate" to the concave chamber beneath the sculpture, inviting visitors to touch its mirror-like surface and see their image reflected back from a variety of perspectives.

THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO

Downtown Chicago's #1 Museum!

Founded in 1879, the Art Institute is one of the oldest art museums in the United States and houses the largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art outside the Louvre among its 300 thousand-plus pieces of art. Works span thousands of centuries, from Etruscan pottery and Ancient Greek reliefs to Pablo Picasso's The Guitarist and Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks. The Art Institute's Modern Wing is home to Terzo Piano, led by Chef Tony Mantuano, During the summer months, patrons clamor to be seated on the Bluhm Family Terrace, dining among rotating art installations and sculpture, and overlooking spectacular Millennium Park.

Monet and Chicago exhibit now open through January 18 at the Art Institute.

NAVY PIER

Navy Pier is one of Chicago's top attractions, stretching six city blocks into Lake Michigan. This year-round destination truly comes to life over the summer months, with free admission, waterfront access and public programming that spans all interests. Pier Park attractions include the amazing and nearly 200 feet tall Centennial Wheel, the Pepsi Wave Swinger, carousel and more.

Access any number of Chicago tours from Navy Pier, including Chicago Big Bus Tours, Vertiport Helicopter Tours and Architecture River Tours. You can also rent bicycles to explore the lakefront on your own.

Navy Pier is closed for the season reopening Spring 2021.
